LIVE with Smitty!

Yes, A New Hallelujah World Tour with Michael W. Smith last night was truly wonderful! A special thanks to all of you who have been praying for me and sharing the excitement on Facebook …I  really couldn’t have done it without you!  It’s been a while since I’ve been part of a choir like this …the last time being back in the day for The New Young Messiah Tour!  (Anybody remember that???)  Though my friend and I joke that we were the ‘Olive Garden Choir’ in our black pants and white matching Oxford shirts, it was definitely worth the lapse in our typical concert attire. =)  The Johnstown War Memorial was packed …thousands of worshippers waiting to connect with God via Michael W. Smith, Phil Stacey (remember him from American Idol?), Matt Maher (awesome worship leader and writer of Your Grace Is Enough), and Meredith Andrews (a new worship artist on the scene whom I’ve grown to love.)  A dear friend of ours gave Travis and I VIP tickets so we could embrace the concert from the second row, and when it was my turn to sing on stage with Smitty, I gave it my all!  What an amazing time.  And just to think that they got an unexpected singer in the choir too …little did they know when I was asked to be a part! =)  Click here if you’d like to see my photo journal from the concert; and much thanks to Smitty (who posted on his website, “Thanks to all who were in Johnstown, Pa. Great night indeed. And choir, you were amazing. Let’s do it again.“), Kevin Braun of Generation Exodus, Choir Director David Buckwalter, and my sweet (while under the weather!) hubby for the awesome chauffering service, company, and photography skills too.  =)

What does your character look like?

Are you praying for Matt Hodge and family???

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Please pray for Matt Hodge and family! It was a sad day, to say the least, 11 weeks ago, when I learned that Matt’s car collided with an oncoming train, leaving him in critical condition.  Matt is the son of Tim Hodge, an amazing artist friend whom I worked with at Big Idea Productions several years back.  It truly is a miracle that he is alive, and a great encouragement to see his improvements, though I know they seem so slow, I am sure, especially to his dear family.  I wanted to post this link from a news channel in Matt’s home county, which followed up on Matt:  Click here for Matt Hodge News Story. Please keep he and his family in your prayers, if you would!
