Do you remember sweet Katlyn? I received a heartwarming card from this a precious teenager whom I wrote about in a blog last February after meeting her at iPromise, a Purity Event I had the privilege of leading worship for. As I shared what God put on my heart in those moments of connecting these young men and women to Jesus, God used something to strike a chord deep within Katlyn. She shared some deep hurt she was going through with me after the event. And now, as I read her message almost a year later, I think how pain is something that we all, in one way or another, can identify with …and how the simplest ways of love can make such a huge difference in getting through that pain. This time of year often resurfaces our own hurts and pain all the more, though it’s meant to bring comfort and the greatest gift of love. Katlyn’s card challenges me to go that extra mile and find even those small ways that I can bring Christ’s hope and encouragement to someone who is struggling with their own pain …even when I’m not feeling good or when my schedule is already jam packed full. Can I challenge you to do the same? How can you go out of your way today, tomorrow, or even on Christmas Eve, to make a difference this season? God’s given you so much and has put His love inside you …don’t waste a moment where you can be His hands and feet! I promise you, it’ll be worth it. =)

Well, Travis and I have been through a definite ‘let’s not go through that experience again’ these past few days, and I wanted to thank the many of you who got word and prayed for us (…and ask for those continued prayers for a new vehicle and the mounting medical expenses.) Sunday morning, on the way to a ministry engagement, we were presented with a surprising, spinning ride on black ice (at 60 mph.) What proceeded was an accident that totaled our car and could have been deadly for all three of us too. Praise the Lord, we were in our bigger of the two cars, which helped keep us safe all but some sore muscles that our chiropractor is now helping us with. As the song we were listening to on the CD player at the time of the crash (Hillsong’s All I Need Is You) sings, “You [God] hold the universe. You [God] hold everyone on earth.” He sure had us in the palm of His hands! Life is a gift, folks. Your life is a miracle, moment by moment. Please don’t forget it …and thanks again for your love and prayers!
Have you got Christmas Eve …and/or Christmas Eve EVE plans? I’m letting you in on something sweet that’s going on at Cornerstone Ministries Wednesday, December 23rd at 7pm and 9pm and Thursday December 24th at 5pm, 7pm and 9pm. It’s Studio 25 …a late night Christmas spectacular! Check out all the details and get directions at Studio 25’s Official Website and don’t forget to get your tickets (FREE admission) in advance as tickets are expected to get snatched up fast …and I’d hate for you to miss out! It’s gonna be sweet. And hey, I’m a part of it too, so let me know if you’re comin’ so I can say ‘Hey’ to ya! And oh yeah, did I mention that an iPod will be given away at each service? I’m just sayin!

Last night brought special joy to my heart, as I was part of some fellow worshipers (and sweet friends!) from church who were guests for Cornerstone TeleVision’s Focus 4 program. After a sound check, notes from the producer, makeup, and a prayer with the station’s president, at 7pm we led a special time of worship during the prayer focused LIVE program. My heart was so blessed to be a part of something so vital across the air waves world wide …I mean, think about it; our world is going through some incredibly uncertain, difficult and painful times, and THE Answer and One who is THE Hope we all are looking for was being offered to millions during that televised hour. I absolutely love it when given an opportunity to use music as a way to help people who are hurting, so a special thanks to Pastor Alan and the great folks at Cornerstone TeleVision. This was definitely one of those times, and I look forward to the next!
Click here to view some fun (and funny!) picks my sweet hubby took throughot the time at the station, and if you missed it LIVE but would still like to catch it, you can watch it by clicking the ‘watch live’ link here this THURSDAY, December 3rd at 1pm EST. And a special thank you to all of you Team Members and Facebook friends who prayed, tuned in, and messaged me your encouragement too! I love you all, and be blessed in the fact that God worked BIG because of you!
